Hublot has enjoyed fruitful partnerships with Manchester United FC manager Jose Mourinho, Cleveland Cavaliers star Dwayne Wade, and retired Jamaican sprint champion Usain Bolt. But the brand’s long association with sports does not end at football, basketball, nor sprint. It continues with golf — the ultimate precision sport — with its recent unveiling of the Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf.
Unlike existing golf watches in the market that are mostly digital, the Swiss watchmaker created a robust chronograph with a 45-mm case that’s carved from Texalium — a light composite material that combines fiber and aluminum. Weighing just 97.93 grams, it definitely won’t impede a golfer’s swing.

But what makes Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf different is that it’s designed and manufactured with the new MHUB1580 Unico movement, which allows golfers to keep track of their strokes in the dial’s aperture displays while on the course. The automatic movement packs 72 hours of power reserve and is equipped with three pushers that efficiently serve as tall counters.
The putter-shaped pusher at 2 o’clock activates the mechanism for displaying the number of strokes taken and counts the strokes per hole, while the other at 4 o’clock allows the wearer to move on to the next hole by resetting the stroke counter to zero. The 6 o’clock counter displays the total number of strokes played. Simply push the 8 o’clock counter to reset all counters to zero at the end of each round.

Like all Unico movement, the MHUB1580 is fully skeletonised — parts of which admirers can see through cut outs in the matte black dial with satin-finished rhodium plated and white luminescent hands hour markers.
The chronograph comes with two interchangeable wristbands fitted with the One Click system. The first one is lifted from a golf glove’s design and is made of white leather sewn on rubber, while the other is made of technical fabric with a Velcro fastener to ensure the watch sits perfectly on the wrist.

Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf will be availablenext year for a price of $31,500.
